On behalf of the Hanwell Days committee we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that supported the event this year. We would not be able to have these events if it were not for you, the residents that partake, our wonderful sponsors and our committee that put in endless hours of volunteer time planning and executing the event.
A special thanks go to our sponsors:
Platinum: Advanced Fabrics (tent), CJRI (89.5 radio) and Sky Designs Inc (fireworks)
Gold: CBDC Southwest, Crossroads Irving, Envirotherm Insulators, The Panel Shop and Perfection Paving
Silver: Go-Go Gymnastics, Peterbilt Atlantic, Radisson Hotel & Suites, Ready John and Scholtens
Bronze: Ben’s Bakery Outlet, Hanwell Village Mart, Costco, CR Signs and Solid Gold Pet Resort
We would also like to thank the Radisson for donating a one night stay at the hotel and Solid Gold Pet Resort for donating 4 gift certificates for a one night accommodation for a dog. These prizes were drawn the evening of the dance, congratulations to the winners!
To the band Hazzard you put on an amazing show, and had the tent rocking!
To our authors Zack Hapeman, Jennifer Houle, and Andrew Scott thank you for being part of the Literary Event and judging the writing submissions. Congratulations to Cade Somers, age 13, for his entry “Nanny’s House”. Cade’s entry can be read in a future edition of the Hanwell Herald. For all those that sent in an entry you all did a great job!
As always, the fireworks keep getting better year after year. We apologize for the postponement of them Friday night but for safety and viewing reasons they need to be held on a clear night. The committee read and listened to your comments regarding having them on Sunday evening (a school night) and we will certainly take this into consideration next year but it must also be worked around the schedule of Sky Designs and the fire department.
If you have any other comments regarding the event of what you thought went well and would like to have again next year or things that you didn’t like, please feel free to contact our Asst. Clerk, Terri Parker @ firstname.lastname@example.org . It is very important to our Council and Committee to provide our residents with a fun-filled weekend. Next year we will be in our new municipal/community centre so we would love to hear some ideas for next year!
THANK YOU !!!!!
