COMMITTEES – HANWELL RURAL COMMUNITY
Hanwell currently has three standing committees, two committees of the whole, two operational committees and one special committee. The Emergency Measures Committee and Communication Committee are comprised of volunteers who live within Hanwell and dedicate the time to meet and discuss the various topics important to these worthwhile committees, usually once a month on a set date to make it easier to schedule. Below you will find a list of committees, members, and statuses.
Our Parks and Recreation Committee is now a Standing Committee comprised of staff and council. We will be looking for volunteers to organize and run the many events we have planned. We will put out a call to volunteers once events are decided on.
Our volunteers are very important to us, for they are the voices of our community. Committees meet on a specific day every month or so, and have committed their time, energy and skills to their respective roles – they are vital to the success of these committees.
Please take a moment to peruse the information below, and if you would like to volunteer let us know, we would be happy to have you!
