Hanwell Soccer {Brookdale Recreation Association)
Our main goal has been and continues to be to give the children an opportunity to be active and have fun, to give the community a chance to get together and see each other, to have an activity where they do not have to tie up multiple nights a week, and yes, to play a little soccer and t-ball.

Hanwell Astronomy Club (Hanwell Observatory Inc.)
The Hanwell Astronomy Club is a group of local enthusiasts who belong to the Fredericton William Brydone Jack Club (WBJ) affiliated with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada’s New Brunswick Centre. The WBJ meets in Fredericton on a monthly basis, usually the second Tuesday of the month, and on other dates for observing sessions or special events. The New Brunswick Centre meetings are held in Fredericton twice a year.

The club promotes sharing the night sky with children and the young at heart. All that is required is an interest in the sky above us and wearing warm clothes. We hope fto see you out on a dark sky night! Stop by the Hanwell Observatory web site to see if we are out observing tonight!

Hanwell Community Development Association
The “HCDA” was incorporated in 2007 in order to acquire property for the benefit of the community. The result was the acquisition of a parcel of crown land, which has now become the Hanwell Recreation Park. Many volunteers spent countless hours to bring about the development of a trail network which is useable all year rund for walking, jogging, skiing etc.

The crown lease has now been acquired by the rural community Council. The Association continues to be the feet on the ground to improve and maintain the property on behalf of Council.
