ATTENTION To Hanwell Residents – BMI Does Not Take Bagged Ashes On Garbage Collection Day – Wednesday, November 8th, 2023.

On behalf of BMI, this is an important reminder that they do not take ashes as part of bagged garbage on garbage collection day. As a result of the remanence of fire coals put out at the end of a residential driveway here in Hanwell, the garbage truck in fact, caught on fire.

The guys were able to contain the fire in time, before it expanded to more extreme measures, however, fire can spread in a matter of seconds.

Please be cognizant of this possible hazardous and dangerous situation, and refrain from leaving ashes at the end of your driveways for garbage collection day.
