Dogs in Hanwell Recreation Park Grounds

We come back again to this issue of dogs not being on-leash while on municipal property (community recreation centre, park, parking lot and playground).  Please remember, as per our Dog Leash Policy #2018-01 – ALL Dogs must be ON LEASH in all areas except for the ones designated as “off-leash”, which is the second and third loop ONLY of the Hanwell Park Trails system.  From the time you exit your vehicle with your dog, he or she must be leashed.  Once in the “off-leash” area of the Park Trail, your dog must still be under your command and control while off its leash.

Whether your dog is friendly, or you’re alone in the park, it does not matter – your dog MUST be leashed at all times unless you are in the designated “off-leash” area – it is a Community Policy, please respect it so that everyone can enjoy the park.
