June 8, 2022Please take a moment to listen to this short interview with award winning, New Brunswick Artist Peter Powning. Members of Hanwell staff and council will accompany Peter this Saturday, June 11th from 10am to 4pm to kick off the creation of Hanwell’s veteran’s memorial. This is a community project designed to encourage public participation in representing what connects our community with veterans. Families are encouraged to bring meaningful items to be included in the memorial as a bronze relief. Items do not necessarily have to be of military origin, personal remembrances are also welcome! We hope that residents of Hanwell, Kingclear, and Kingsclear First Nation will join us in creating a memorial that is representative of our community and can be enjoyed and appreciated for generations to come!
